Dear President Trump, It is a pleasure to introduce myself. My name is Kondo, and I am Japanese. I have great respect for the late former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. There are many things I would like to ask you, Mr. President. Allow me to begin with a simple question. "Of all the moral lessons you were taught as a child, which ones have stayed with you to this day?" Growing up in Japan, I was repeatedly taught the importance of sincerity and honesty, especially in building and maintaining trust with others. For example, we have a Japanese saying: "Lying is the first step toward stealing." It teaches us that even a small lie is something we should avoid. I was also taught, "Never bully those who are weaker than you." These lessons came not only from my parents, but also from my grandparents, teachers, aunts, uncles, and even adults in my neighborhood. In other words, the adults around me took the time to guide me and remind me of the values that matter in life. There were other lessons as well: "Do not cause trouble for others." "Do not waste things." "Live in a way that benefits others and society." These teachings remain the foundation of my values to this day. And so, President Trump, I would like to ask you: What moral lessons were you taught when you were young? And which of those lessons do you still hold dear today? I would be truly grateful if you would share your thoughts. Respectfully, Kondo Japan
